Academic Program

Autism Higher Education Foundation and Simmons College are currently developing an academic program to create access to higher education for students with ASD who would otherwise not have access to such learning opportunities. The program's objectives are to provide ASD students access to several introductory level college courses. Courses will be modified and tailored to the learning needs of the students and will be taught through a combination of individual tutorials, computer support, small group and "pre lab" instruction as well as full participation (inclusion) with the assistance of a tutor/aide in lab sessions.
