Nikan Milani
Composer, Musician and Instructor in Music
Mr. Milani was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in Iran until 1998 where he studied music with masters such as Mr. Emannuel Melik Aslanian, Haaynoush Makarian and Dr. Mehran Rouhani. In 1989, he co-founded the National Baha'i Choir. In addition, Mr. Milani designed curriculum and was a faculty member in the music department at the Baha'i Open University in Iran. Mr. Milani continued his studies at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He earned a diploma in piano performance in 2003 and a master's degree in composition in 2007. He has performed and has given talks about arts and music nationally and internationally. Mr. Milani has over eighteen years of experience in teaching piano and theory of music to students of all ages. He is also a trained instructor of the Orff method for children.
